Clos Saron is a small vineyard in the California Sierra Foothills, specifically Oregon House in Yuba County, renowned for producing distinctive Pinot Noir wines from their 2.5-acre Home Vineyard on a unique volcanic subsoil in the Smartville Complex. Starting in 1995 by grafting a half-acre Cabernet vineyard to own-rooted Pinot Noir, they expanded and bought the land around 1998, farming chemical-free with a 'no winemaking' approach to purely express the site's character. They also produce other wines from purchased fruit, emphasizing minimal intervention.
