Byrd Vineyard is a pioneering high-elevation winery at 2,400 feet in Mendocino, California, specializing in estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon from volcanic soils in the Mayacamas Range extension. Founded by Bruce Byrd around 2010, they hand-farm the vines for optimal ripeness, acidity, and bold flavors with softer tannins. Their 2012 vintages have earned Double Gold and Silver medals at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
