The Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College serves as a gateway to the Umpqua Valley wine industry, offering certificates in Vineyard Management, Winery/Tasting Room Management, and Wine Production. Students gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, an award-winning 5-acre vineyard, and a spacious tasting room for learning cellar management, sensory evaluation, and marketing. The program supports wine industry careers and allows entrepreneurs to use bonded equipment for their own brands.
