About
Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Culinary Arts & Sustainable Food Systems programs operate the student-run 418 restaurant and Havirmill Café in downtown Kalamazoo. Chefs-in-training serve regional American cuisine using ingredients from local farms and the college's Food Innovations Center urban farm. The program emphasizes Menus that Matter™, at the intersection of food production, social justice, environmental sustainability, nutrition, and health.
