Aaron and Cara Mockrish own and operate Frenchtown Farms, farming grapes and producing wines from the steep, rocky slopes of North Yuba in California's Sierra Foothills since 2015. They tend old, own-rooted, dry-farmed vines and their own new vineyard, emphasizing sustainable practices without pesticides, herbicides, or systemic fungicides, and simple winemaking to express their unique terroir derived from the Smartville Intrusive Complex soils. Their wines reflect the mineral-rich geology, steep topography, and passionate hand-farming.
