About
Sine Qua Non is a cult California winery started by Manfred and Elaine Krankl with their 1994 Syrah 'Queen of Spades'. They focus on Rhône-style wines led by Syrah and Grenache, supported by Mourvèdre, Roussanne, Viognier, and non-Rhône varieties like Petit Manseng, Touriga Nacional, Graciano, and Petite Sirah. Renowned for distinctive, age-worthy wines with a global following, they manage demand via a waiting list and have expanded to four vineyard sites and a new winery.
