Hawkes Wine is a family-owned winery in Sonoma County's Alexander Valley that first planted Cabernet Sauvignon in 1972, 12 years before the appellation was established. They produce 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon, with the first vintage under the Hawkes name 30 years later. Pioneers in the region, they transitioned the area from prunes, apples, and hops to premium wine production.
