Blue Slip Winery, founded in 2009 by Jeff Galyon, was Knoxville’s first winery and Tennessee’s first urban winery, located initially in the Old City district. It became an outlet for local farmers during the Farm to Table and Farm to Glass movement, pioneering custom crush wines from local fruit for farm wineries. The winery moved to the 1903 Historical Southern Railway Station in 2015, offering a tasting bar and event ballrooms, but is currently closed while relocating to a new location.
