Valiant Vineyards Winery & Distillery, owned by the Nygaard family since 1996, produces award-winning wines and small-batch spirits in Vermillion, South Dakota, overlooking the Missouri River. Pioneers of South Dakota wine, starting with the state's first commercial wine, they now feature Stone Faces Distillery led by sixth-generation winemaker Leif Nygaard. Visitors can taste products, stay at their bed & breakfast, and host events including weddings.
