About

Abita Brewing Company is a Louisiana-based craft brewery founded in 1986 in the piney woods 30 miles north of New Orleans. They produce a wide range of year-round, seasonal, and limited edition beers including Amber lager, Purple Haze, and the Gator series, alongside non-alcoholic sodas, hop water, and new Upbeat Vodka Cocktails made with artesian spring water. Proud of their southern roots, they emphasize green brewing practices and operate taprooms in Covington and New Orleans.
