Portage Brewing Company is a destination brewery and taproom nestled in Chippewa National Forest off Leech Lake in Walker, MN. Opened in 2017 in the original hospital building, it survived a catastrophic fire in 2019 through community support and now features a 10BBL brewhouse with 120 barrels of fermentation capacity and a wood aging cellar. They focus on small-batch, curiosity-driven beers, having brewed 240 different styles including spontaneous sours, wood-aged lagers, and classic IPAs.
