Hoster Brewing Company revives a Columbus brewing tradition founded in 1836 by Louis Hoster, crafting German-style lagers like the award-winning flagship Gold Top Dortmunder-style lager, Eagle Dark Czech-style dark lager, Vienna Lager, Hoster Light, rotating styles, and in-house Frostop root beer. Their dog-friendly, family-friendly taproom at 653 N. James Road features a patio, pizza, Bavarian pretzels, complimentary popcorn, and pre-Prohibition memorabilia. Beers are distributed across Central Ohio by the keg.
