About
Mare Island Brewing Co. is a brewery founded by two winemakers on the historic Mare Island naval shipyard site in Vallejo, CA, handcrafting beers inspired by its legacy through Civil, Cold, and World Wars. They operate three taprooms: Ferry Taproom in Vallejo, Coal Shed Brewery on Mare Island, and First Street Taphouse in Benicia. The brewery has grown into a communal hub over a decade, celebrated in their new podcast 'Battleships to Beer.'
