Ciel du Cheval Vineyard, associated with the Holmes family, is located at the heart of the Red Mountain AVA in Washington, growing grapes for many of the best wineries in the state. Its unique terroir produces wines with great structure and intensity. In 2012, after 38 years of grape growing, they began producing their own wines under the Côtes de Ciel label.
