Founded in 1889 and family-owned by the Rizzo Family since 1927, Bernardo Winery is Southern California's oldest continuously operating winery, producing approachable wines from San Diego County grapes. Located 25 miles north of downtown San Diego on a historic Spanish land grant property, it survived Prohibition by making sacramental wine. The site features beautiful gardens, a tasting room, Sicilian-inspired kitchen, artist village, coffee house, gelato shop, and hosts events, weddings, and markets.
