Family-owned and operated Lucchesi Vineyards & Winery in Grass Valley, CA, was founded by Mario and Linda Clough with vines planted in 2000 on their 20-acre steeply-terraced hillside vineyard in the Sierra Foothills. They specialize in traditionally crafted small-lot wines from 16 varietals including Zinfandel, Merlot, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Portuguese Ports like Tinto Cão. Visitors enjoy tastings at the hilltop winery with panoramic Sierra views or the downtown tasting room, with options to picnic on the terrace.
